The Work that Deserves You
The questions of: What is my purpose?
What is my work in this world?
How am I meant to serve?
These are such important questions.
But they can also be painfully tender ones.
Because it hurts to not know.
It hurts to feel lost in this life without a clear why.
It’s hard to conjure up real perseverance—
or resilience—
without a connection to something deep enough to make the effort feel worth it.
Without something sacred enough to rise for.
The truth is, not every job deserves that from us.
Not every pursuit is worthy of our highest energy.
Not every path brings out the best in us.
But the right work?
The right vocation?
It will call your essence forward.
It will polish away the masks.
It will stretch you, not just to perform—but to become.
It will help you uncover new corners of your soul.
And the giving over of your life force to something?
That’s a sacred act.
At least—it should be.
If we must spend a significant part of this life working,
then let the work matter.
Let it make your heart soar.
Let it nourish you in return.
Let it make you proud of the legacy you’re leaving behind.
Alignment in vocation isn’t a luxury.
It’s foundational.
A search for that alignment is worth its weight in gold.
