TARYN WATTS, MCC

Founder of the Mind Rebel™ Academy

  • Taryn Watts, an ICF Accredited Master Certified Coach and Founder of the Mind Rebel™ Academy, trains and supports world-class coaches around the globe, helping them to step into their life’s work.

    She is the creator of the revolutionary Mind Rebel™ Method, a simple yet powerful self-discovery framework that is transforming the way people coach, lead, and connect internationally.

    With Taryn, coaching isn’t about giving advice; it’s about helping others find their deepest truth within themselves.

    Through her method, she invites people to break out of subconscious imposter syndrome by bringing awareness and healing to the rebel mind, providing the path to confidently step into their dreams and goals with purpose.

    After over a decade of coaching experience, she is now training coaches to the highest standard in the industry, reinstating integrity and credibility into the profession.

    She inspires her students and alumni to use their coaching skills to impact those they love and serve, creating a ripple effect that will be felt for generations to come.

    With philanthropic themes interwoven throughout her work, including expanding accessibility of the coaching industry to marginalized groups and instating Coaching with a Cause where coaches provide a one-hour coaching session in exchange for a donation to the client’s charity of choice,

    Taryn’s work is heart and soul-centered.

    Taryn holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and is trained as a Master Certified Coach accredited by the ICF, winning the Top Life Coach in Faces Magazine in 2019.

    She’s an empire builder and a homemaker, married with two young children, and deeply rooted in family priorities.

    Although Taryn leads a busy life, she makes time to read, cook, journal, practice yoga, and connect with her loved ones.

MICHELLE THERIAULT, PCC

Senior Mentor Coach & Instructor

  • Michelle is a founding member of the MRA’s faculty team. With a deep love and devotion for the craft of coaching, she holds space for and supports those on a journey of self-realization and growth.

    Michelle believes that we all have the power to write our own stories and is a champion for the wildest dreams and visions of others.

    Michelle has quite magically landed herself in her own garden of eden. The realization of this much yearned for experience of homecoming has reinforced her trust in herself as well as her deep desire to light the way for others to access the Truths and desires inside of themselves.

    Michelle is a certified Mind Rebel Coach and an International Coaching Federation Professional Certified Coach.

    As a mentor, Michelle is devoted to honouring the uniqueness of each individual and cultivating relationships that feel free, expansive and understanding.

    Outside of work, you can find Michelle either wandering her enchanted forest, foraging for wildflowers and mushrooms or lovingly gazing at her chickens.

 

MIRANDA SOLOMON, PCC

Director of Training

  • Miranda is the MRA's Director of Training who works with the MRA's faculty and students to ensure curriculum excellence.

    Miranda is dedicated to ensuring our Coach Training Program is in alignment with the heart of the MRA and in integrity with the ICF's world-class standards for Coach Training programs.

    Miranda is a founding member of the MRA. She began her role with the team as a Mentor Coach by facilitating, mentoring, and supporting multiple cohorts over the years. Miranda has experience coaching a diverse group of people, accruing hundreds of hours of coaching experiences to share with students.

    Miranda is a PCC accredited Coach in good standing with the ICF, and she has also completed Trauma-Sensitive Leadership Coach Training certification.

    Miranda's mentorship style is to hold students in the highest regard and unwaveringly believes in their wholeness, capability, resourcefulness and creativity.

    Outside of work, Miranda is committed to finding centre, joy, and beauty near the water's edge, or on one of Ottawa's beautiful hiking trails with her son and husband. She also loves a kitchen dance party.

Ashley Cochrane, ACC

MRA Mentor Coach & Instructor

  • Ashley is an MRA Mentor Coach who walks alongside coaches on their journey of personal growth while building and refining their coaching skills and core competencies. She has a natural tendency to instill confidence in others and bring clarity to abstract concepts.

    Ashley’s favourite quote is, “In the depths of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer” (Albert Camus). She sees the light in others and believes in finding the light in life. Her mentorship style is present, grounding, and inspiring.

    Ashley is an ICF Associate Certified Coach, a yoga teacher, and holds a Master of Arts in Public Ethics. Relationship-building, communication, and strategy have been a through-line throughout her career and she brings this experience to the MRA team.

    Outside of work, you can find Ashley at the yoga studio, sipping tea over conversation with close friends, travelling to places she’s never been before, laughing at her own jokes, or dancing in her kitchen with her partner and baby girl.

Mandy Brazeau, ACC

MRA Mentor Coach & Instructor

  • Mandy is a multidimensional, multi-passionate shooting star. She creates dynamic co-creative spaces for leaders and individuals to truly live their unique lives. As a mentor coach, she provides both structure and connected loving support. Mandy is deeply passionate about meeting people where they are and offering a non-judgemental, supremely supportive and light-filled space for self-exploration. Her favourite quote these days is, "If you truly love someone, your love sees past their humanness.” (Michael Singer) Mandy's mentorship style is holistic, encouraging and reflective.

    Mandy currently coaches leaders and individuals who have dedicated their lives to public service, she also provides women of all ages a space to navigate and express themselves wholly inside their feminine experience as a cycle coach. In addition, Mandy will support you as you move through conflict. As a trained conflict coach, she has supported many individuals to uncover their needs inside of conflicts and disputes.

    Mandy is a social service worker graduate and a Sociologist. She has been in public service for over 15 years, is a trained facilitator, mental health first aid trained and is an organizational mental health advocate. She is a certified Third-Party Neutral with the Canadian Institute for Conflict Resolution, and she is a proud, certified Mind Rebel Coach, holding her ACC credential with the International Coaching Federation.

    Day after day you can find Mandy leaning into a lifestyle rooted in joy, dance, laughter and a commitment to her cycle, practicing minimalism (but not being very skilled yet), growing a garden and cultivating property that will one day be a flourishing farm, supporting local business through involvement with area farmers markets and raising her two young kids, two dogs with her first responder partner!

  • Jess is passionate about empowering others to bring their whole hearts forward to create a more just, connected, and beautiful world. As a member of MRA’s faculty team, she draws on her 20 years of experience as a social impact leader to help students and alumni coaches step into their aligned path of service.

DAWN EVANS

Student Services

  • Dawn is a founding member of the MRA. She also completed the first round of Coach Training in 2019.

    She is the Director of Student services and will be there to support and guide you in every step of the way throughout the program and beyond. She is always happy to help and to answer any questions you may have along the way.

    Outside of the MRA Dawn is also a Co-Founder of a jewelry brand, Eleven Love. She is passionate about her family, close friends, entrepreneurship and enjoying the outdoors in all seasons.

KELLY DUNCAN

Director of Admissions

  • All interest in our programs will lead you to Kelly. As the MRA's Director of Admissions, she has the unique honour of being able to connect with each and every one of our program candidates. Ensuring that their decision to join our programs is aligned and that all of their questions are answered. She is also a Certified Mind Rebel Coach, Breathwork Facilitator & Reiki Master, and provides intuitive guidance for those looking to experience a more balanced life.

KALEY GUY

Director of Operations

  • In 2021 the MRA welcomed Kaley as the Director of Operations. She is also a graduate of the Coach Training program from the very first cohort in 2019.

    Kaley manages the day-to-day operations and has helped implement new procedures and practices to ensure that the MRA is operating smoothly and efficiently.

    Kaley is passionate about her family, getting outdoors, and living a well-balanced nurtured life.

DR. NICOLE ROBINSON

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

  • Nicole works with both our faculty and students in creating cultures of belonging and equity-centred coaching and leadership. She is the CEO of Cultural Connections by Design, is nationally acclaimed as an educator, scholar, speaker, and author; and has presented her research at national and international conferences, published in several industry’s leading research journals and authored two academic textbooks. She has committed her life’s work to transforming educational and organizational cultures through systemic change processes centred around diversity, equity, and inclusion.

LAURA MORA

Intuition

  • Laura is an MRA Alumna who supports and guides our students in activating and expanding their intuition. Based on the art of “opening the heart”, her unique inner framework is a powerful tool for coaches and spiritual aspirants who desire reconnection with their inner wisdom.

    With deep love, Laura offers Holistic Coaching and Spiritual Mentorship programs to soulful humans in different countries. She is a Certified Reiki Master and has been teaching all three levels of Reiki since 2015. Laura’s remarkable teaching approach focuses on profound and authentic personal transformation, where the awakening of the heart is paramount. Laura’s work has redefined Reiki as “The Practice of Love”. She is the founder of Semillas Montreal, the largest trilingual Reiki community in Quebec. Alongside her Reiki peers, she hosts free distance healing circles in Spanish, French, and English.

    In 2022 she launched her program “La Source en Soi”, blending revolutionary practices such as the Mind Rebel™ methodology, ThetaHealing®, conscious breathwork, Reiki, and energy healing. She is also a Certified Mindfulness Teacher, graduated from the Greater Good Science Center (Berkeley).

    Laura is proud of her Mexican roots and loves to sing rancheras with a mariachi band while sharing a good mezcal with her loved ones. As an artist, she is also part of a Playback Theater ensemble that uses the play to honor storytelling tradition.

    Laura is a perpetual seeker of truth who is convinced that Love is the answer and aspires to bring more laughter and joy into her daily life.

Angie Arora

Trauma Awareness

  • Angie is an MRA Alumna who supports our faculty, students, and alumni in understanding nervous system regulation and trauma awareness in coaching.

    In her professional practice, Angie works with Seneca College’s School of Community Services teaching both those working in social services and veterinary medicine on a range of issues including how to foster improved professional wellbeing.

    In her private practice, Angie provides trauma-informed coaching and training to veterinary professionals so they can reconnect to themselves and their work in new and improved ways.

    As a registered Social Worker, Certified Compassion Fatigue specialist and Wellbeing Coach, supporting others to build self and community connection is her calling and passion.

    Angie holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the Toronto Metropolitan University, a Master of Social Work from York University and continues to dedicate herself to her personal and professional growth through ongoing training and certification. She is certified in Emotional CPR with the National Empowerment Centre, is a certified Compassion Fatigue Specialist from the Traumatology Institute and has completed her International Coaching Federation training with the Mind Rebel™ Academy.
